Chasing excellence through service, sport, and the power of resilience.
The mission is simple: pursue purpose, chase growth, and inspire others to keep moving forward. “Dreamchaser” is more than a name. It reflects the belief that obstacles are turning points, and that discipline, service, and resilience can build something greater than circumstance.
Mike “Dreamchaser” Smith is a U.S. Army veteran, national champion para-cyclist, and endurance athlete dedicated to pushing limits and redefining what’s possible. After losing his right arm above the elbow during active duty, Mike returned to service, continued his military career, and ultimately discovered a new path through adaptive sports. Today, he trains at the elite level with the goal of representing the United States on the Paralympic stage.
Mike competes in para-cycling and para-triathlon, specializing in time trial racing and long-distance multisport events. His training blends precision, endurance, and adaptive innovation to meet the demands of elite national and international competition. With the support of the U.S. Army World Class Athlete Program, Mike is working toward qualifying for major global events and continuing his progression toward the Paralympic Games.

Mike is committed to giving back through coaching, mentorship, and community engagement. As Co-Founder of Swim Bike Run 4 Equality, he supports greater inclusion within endurance sports. He also works closely with veteran communities and adaptive sports programs to help athletes build confidence and discover their own potential.
